Sensual

February 17, 2025

Sensuality is the art of being present in your body, of experiencing the world through your senses with depth and intention. It is the warmth of sunlight on your skin, the lingering taste of ripe fruit on your lips, the way silk glides over your fingertips. Sensuality is not just about touch; it is the way music sends shivers down your spine, how a scent can transport you to a memory, how a gaze can speak volumes without a single word.

To be sensual is to be attuned to yourself, to honor pleasure in its many forms—not just the obvious, but the subtle: the rhythm of your breath, the feeling of stretching your body in the morning light. It is about savoring life rather than rushing through it, about embracing the richness of each moment. Sensuality is self-connection, a form of self-love, an invitation to exist fully in your own skin.

🇪🇸

I will allow photos of myself when I loose the weight

January 27, 2025

But what are we really missing? We’re missing the true meaning in the record of our life, ourselves and our work. Record that helps us see our progress as well as adds to the history for future generations.

Waiting to be ready, get ready, feel ready, look ready is a futuristic moment in time that might never comes around. Our lizard brain is trying to protect us and puts us in procrastination mode to wait for a time in this imaginary time where everting is perfect and we don’t feel any resistance. Both you and me know this moment in time is a pure illusion. It was never there, it will never be. So then, aren’t we simply wasting precios time instead?

Yesterday I heard it again - “I want to come for a photoshoot, but first I have to loose the weight”…
Do you really?

I’ve spent years of my life hiding, not allowing myself to appear on photographs with friends and family, not attending events because I didn’t feel good in my body. Years passed to realize I’ve lost recording special times in my life what will never come back again. Looking with a wiser eye now, I see the weight wasn’t really that bad and even if it was, life is a constant change, things transform, body size too. What never returns are the experiences that shapes us, that nurture us, that help us become the people we’re meant to. And this is exactly what we have to celebrate.

It is one thing if you want to put an effort and look the best while having your photoshoot and another if you’re actually hiding. Are you not allowing yourself to see yourself in your glory?

How you feel is important, but we wait to find the moment where we feel perfectly ready inside and out to do something for ourselves. There is no such moment. We can always find an excuse, something to insult ourselves for, something to compare with others, but that only stops us of feeling the love and joy of being alive, being here, experiencing life as we do.

Furthermore, artistic photography is not about purposefully pointing your flaws. It’s about celebrating them instead. It’s about capturing your energy, your essence, the soul that lives in this body that you constantly insult and harm. It’s your vehicle, your house, and has nothing to do with your sense of worth or beauty. Yes, it can help if you feel good in your skin, but you might be surprised that after a sensual photo session you will feel more connected and inline with the body you so wanted to change beforehand.

You don’t need to change to feel worth it, to feel beautiful or special. You don’t need to loose the weight, buy the clothes, find the partner. You need to change the way you look at yourself - to learn to accept this magnificent being you are with flaws and all. We’re not here to be perfect but uniquely ourselves.

Why January Is the Perfect Time for a Personal Brand Photo Session?

January 6, 2025

Here we are again - evaluating the past year and setting targets for the year ahead. It’s more than just a change on the calendar - it’s a fresh opportunity to redefine our presence and make an impact.

Whether you’re a freelancer, business owner or climbing the career ladder, how you present yourself visually is extremely important in this dynamic digital world we live in. Professional photos are not just about looking good - they’re about telling your story. They communicate your expertise, personality, and values without saying a word.

  • Set the tone for the year

January is all about new beginnings. Updating your headshots and personal branding images at the start of the year sends a message: you’re ready, refreshed, and serious about your goals. These visuals will define how people see you across platforms, from LinkedIn to your website, giving you an edge as you pitch, network, or connect with new clients.

  • Stay ahead of the competition

While many are still easing into the year, you can hit the ground running by positioning yourself as confident and prepared. A cohesive, professional visual identity builds trust and sets you apart in a crowded industry. When others are waiting for the “perfect time,” you’ll already be making an impression.

  • Start strong on social media

If your profiles and website look polished and aligned, people will take you more seriously. Social media is often the first place potential clients or employers will see you. Your photos are your first handshake - make it firm and memorable.

  • Build connection and trust

Authenticity is key in today’s professional world. A good branding shoot doesn’t just capture how you look - it captures who you are. Thoughtful images that reflect your personality, values, and energy help build connection and trust with your audience. They see the real you - and that’s truly powerful.

  • It’s a long-term investment

Quality photos taken in January can serve you throughout the year. Whether you need a polished headshot for a conference, images for a social media campaign, or something more personal for a feature, having a bank of professional visuals saves time and ensures consistency.

Have you’ve been putting off updating your professional visuals? - this is your sign to stop waiting. Investing in a personal branding photo session is an investment in yourself and your future. You deserve to be seen and remembered for the professional you are and the incredible work you do!

Need any help? - I’d love to help you kickstart your year with confidence with photographs that truly represent you!

Let’s go!

What do you need before a photoshoot of any kind?

January 3, 2025

Literally nothing but your excitement. Everything else is adjustable.

People often stress too much when they’re about to be photographed. The experience of somebody in your personal space hiding behind a machine that takes high resolutions photographs on witch you can see all the details you dislike about your body is definitely something that can bring quiet a it of stress in your everyday life.

But things are not that scary. The professionals know all of your thoughts and concerns about a photography session - they have been there themselves and they have a constant reminder of it by their clients.

The truth is that no-one is looking at your flaws because we all have them. A good professional is there to capture your essence, to give you the desired result despite the concerns they know you have. The idea is to enjoy the process, to celebrate yourself in this moment in time accompanied with your Self or your loved ones.

Native Americans used to believe that by taking a photographs of them you take a piece of their Soul too. I find this a little scary but also romantic. And perhaps its a correct description about the process. Part of you is captured, frozen in this moment in time. Not particularly in a bad way though. Photograph if you is a memory, a legacy, a reminder that you were here, you experienced life in your own unique way and you celebrated this moment in all of its glory.

So next time you have this inner desire of having beautiful photographs of yourself, quiet down the ego voice telling you you’re not perfect enough, and let your Soul make the appointment. Go and celebrate You - the person you are, the life you live and work you do in this world.

Life is too short to be afraid of things we passionately want to do.

Let your Light shine bright!

Sick and tired of the Photoshop

August 21, 2024

I’m sick and tired of the Photoshop, as it goes in the song…

No, really. I’m sick and tired of editing and liquefying bodies. Chasing perfection that doesn’t really exist. Preaching body positivity, when 90% of my fine art nude portfolio contains bodies and skin additionally manipulated in post-production.

I’m tired of it. Of faking it. Of pretending it not that bad. Or excusing my behaviour with “everyone else does it”. We are not perfect, our bodies are not perfect. Never were, never will be. They are perfectly imperfect , unique, and that’s the beauty of it. How our bodies look has to do with our genes and lifestyle, not of the technical abilities of media professionals.

I’ve been thinking A LOT on the subject for the past several days. What is my work about and how do I present it? Why do I keep retouching bodies, including mine, when I know how harmful this could be to the self-esteem and self-acceptance of the individual. Especially to women.

We’re living in a world where beauty has turned into a plastic-perfect-machine-reproduction result, making us feel not good enough in every aspect of our life. Aren’t we created as we were on purpose? Aren’t we different on purpose? Don’t we have an individual work to do here that is more important than the size of our dress and the brand of our anti-aging cream?

I know I’m not alone in this. I’m sure you have thoughts like this too. And I’m sure part of you thinks your body is not suitable enough for a fine art photo session. Part of you still thinks all those public imagery and celebrity reels are the truth of what human bodies ‘must’ look like. I know, because I’m in that train of thoughts too.

I’ve been a photographer and retoucher for 16 years now, with a close specialisation in artistic nude photography for the past 14. Yet this is the first time where I’m really close to just flip the table and shout: “Basta ya!!”

I have women all around me - family, friends, their children, online followers I don’t even know in person. What is my message? Why do I say to all those unique, beautiful women: “My darling, you’re one of a kind, but let me liquify your waist so you can look like the man-made social standard.” No, this is a hypocrisy and I better stop pretending I’m doing all of us a favour.

It’s time to turn the mirror toward me again. What is the relation I have with my body? What have I builded for the past 34 years, through the whole variety of experience and all the opportunities to learn, accept and get to know myself better. I know how to deliver a professional product, based on that man-made beauty standard, but can I fully reveal my flaws and encourage other women like myself to really love themselves for who they are the way they are? Haven’t we had enough of self hatred and comparison? Isn’t life something to be enjoyed rather than feared we won’t pass through the beauty control?

I know the ego game is never ending, but are we really victims of it or it’s just the easier choice? Can we learn to enjoy and be happy in our everchanging, ageing, marked by life and experiences but super intelligent body?
