    I’d planned to do something like this for years, always telling myself I’d wait until I looked better, slimmer, or “more ready.” Eventually I realised: I’m only getting older, and this moment wasn’t going to magically arrive. So I booked a flight to Barcelona — and the second I did, it felt right. (…)

    My intention was simple: photos of me, not me pretending to be someone else. And because of that, the images became more than “sexy.” They were sensual, powerful, and honest. The see‑through gown I brought made me feel like a million bucks, and her direction brought out sides of me I didn’t even know were there.

FAQ

  • To request a studio experience, please complete the contact form HERE or at the bottom of this page. Inquiries will be considered on a case by case basis according to artist’s availability and discretion.

  • Studio sessions are currently held in Barcelona, Spain. Mariya Mileva uses studio premises, keeping the privacy and commodity of her clients. If you are interested in booking a studio collection elsewhere in the world, please inquire as travel opportunities are accepted multiple times per year.

  • To reserve a studio collection shoot and secure your date, a 50% non-refundable retainer fee is required. Payments are accepted via Debit cards and PayPal. The remaining 50% balance will be due at the time of your photo session.

  • Each studio collection client will receive a detailed client prep guide to help get in the right headspace for your session. There’s very little tangible preparation required beyond getting a good night’s sleep and having some quiet time before your session. You are a masterpiece just as you are.

  • If you will be wearing wardrobe for your session, you’ll want to bring that. Think simply. No need for glamorous wardrobe or buying anything new. The studio will provide draping fabrics and sheer fabrics to stylize nude sets, as well as a robe for in-between sets.

  • It is encouraged to arrive to your session as your most familiar self, having your skin, hair, body hair, and makeup the way you prefer to be photographed. In efforts to ensure that our clients feel most like themselves and to support the message of not needing a makeover transformation in order to be photo worthy, we do not provide hair and makeup services by default. However, they can be provided upon request.

  • For La Diosa Collection, you can expect to be at the studio for between 3-4 hours. This collection is slow-paced and comfortable, allowing plenty of time for get-to-know-you conversation, set changes, and snack breaks as needed. We recommend clients block out the day for this experience to not feel rushed or anxious.

    La Musa Collection will have you at the studio for between 1.5 and 2 hours.

    La Petite Collection is Mariya Mileva's bite-sized offering, and clients can expect to be at the studio for just over 1 hour.

  • For both La Diosa and La Musa collections, a remote viewing experience will be offered to theatrically review and select your photographs together approximately 2-3 weeks after the photo session date, after which your printed fine art products will be prepared and delivered to you.

    For La Petite Collection, your first experience with your images will be in print when your storybook is delivered to you. Upon receipt of your printed art, your matching web resolution files will be digitally delivered to you for personal use. The total turnaround time is roughly 4 weeks for the arrival of the Italian storybook shipment from Italy.

  • Based on ethical and artistic preferences, Mariya Mileva retouch the photographs in her signature style, keeping them as natural as possible while enhancing your natural beauty, and removing temporary blemishes such as acne, scrapes, and bruises. The image enhancement process involves contrast, exposure, cropping and background clean-up, as well as expert black and white conversions. Should you have any specific requests or questions, these conversations are always welcomed and encouraged.

  • Only the finest craftsmanship will do. Mariya Mileva partners with a fine art lab in Italy, using the best photographic papers, woods, and Italian leather. Story books and wall art typically have a 3-4 week turnraround time and will ship from Italy with express 72 hour shipping.

  • Yes, you can absolutely bring 1 friend along with you to your photo session experience. We will ask that friends not interfere with the shoot process , but are always welcome to be encouraging from the sidelines and be a good support in celebrating you.

    We do ask that romantic partners not be present for studio shoots, as clients can subconsciously altar their expressions/body language/personalities according to what pleases their partner rather than themselves.
