Don't grow up

Especially out of your curiosity and artistic play. That permanent state of exploration and trying all things we like when we’re going up simply disappears when the “seriousness” of adulthood becomes a default state.

Yet all great art expression is manly connected to that pure, curious state of mind where we allow ourselves to be and do by instinct, not by structure.

I’m guilty of living too much as grown up, self depriving myself of exploration and new potential work. I also have to remind myself to let go of expectations, to remove the describing social media full of other people’s life and let myself get into the zone, into creation, letting myself come back to myself.

It’s not too late and it will never be. Just come back to what you love doing and do it often. Grown up fast will always be there, but they don’t really fill your soul up.

Photography is not the camera

Many think photography is the quality of the camera used. Yet, as any other skill and art form, it’s all about the practice and patience.

To stand still, but also to move suddenly. To practice, but also to simply observe. To copy the masters, but most importantly discover your own voice.

In today’s world photography can give you instant results. Yet it takes years of practice to really learn it.

To learn to see. Shapes, details, movement, behaviours. To see how objects interact between each other. To learn how to present and summarise a story from the complexity of world.

Shine or die

What are you afraid of? That they will see who you truly are? That you’re so different from them and they’ll have to exclude you from their life in order to remain living their “normal”, “familiar” life?

You hat is the Sun or the Moon, or the beautiful floweres refused to show who they are? How would the would be if they didn’t express a whole of their glory?

There are things that you can choose, features and gifts given for you for a reason. You’re not up to you to decide if they make sense or not. Yes, you have the free will to hide them away from public eye, but by doing this you harm yourself and all of us, all of what there is.

Don’t dim your light to fit into containers of others who don’t know how to let their light shine.

Do we really have to get to the darkest corner to see the light?

Do we need breakdown needed to break out?

Can a process of recovery be speeded up?

Not sure if it’s good to share, but I’ll do it anyway. I’m currently a recoveree after one of those massive breakdowns I’ve had numerous times before, but this time decided to ask for help.

It turned out as one of the best self-care actions I’ve even taken. It has taken me a month to just begin to see myself again, to feel like myself again.

Doing too much doesn’t mean you’re efficient. Following instructions doesn’t mean it’s the right solution to your personal math task.

We get out of balance when we stop listening to our true Self.

It's not them, it's You

The one who can give you all that you need.

It’s easier to wait for something or someone outside of us to give us, to provide us, to love us and nurture us the way we want. Perhaps the way we haven’t received as children. But the paradox is that nothing outside of you can give you the same feeling.

It is about the feeling. The feeling of pure love, of abundance, of determination when making a (life changing) decision.

It’s all in You already. It has always been. You just have to decide to reach for it, to claim it, to use it.

You are the one who imprison and release yourself.

I’ve been in the limbo for consciously 15 years. I get hyped up, I try, I loose balance, I fall. Stay low for some time until I realise it’s a waste of time. So I get up, dust myself off, breath in and go…

Then that voice appears trying to convince me there’s no point. I hear you, I know you. You said that before and look where I am now. You say what you want, but I’m going forward.

Forward and upward, like in the mountain. Always.

It’s ok to fall, some pity time is ok too. Just don’t stay there for too long.
