Anxiety made me do it

Some of my best Fine Art works were done under anxiety attacks or breakups of some sort.

I go from dark, painful trips of overwhelming feelings and eyes tearing down until they can’t produce no more to turning towards my camera and record my bare soul.

In fact the lack of creation is partly what causes us anxiety. A Soul deprived of what it came here to do has to scream so loudly to be heard, acknowledged and taken seriously.

Because creation is essential for us. We came here to create in some shape or form. This creation of ours is the way to serve and contribute to the whole.

Anxiety comes as an alarm to inform you that you’re disconnected from your essence.

Art is a proven medicine always here for you.

P.S. This is my first self-care session from months. I confess, anxiety has been severe in my body. Last night was another tough trip, so today I finally gave myself my own medicine.

Photography has been helping me go through my darkest hours and then paint them with light. Successfully every time.

Let it out

Your light, your vibe, your dream. Just let it out and let it be.

You’re doing a disservice to yourself by hiding it all in. We’re not here to copy, boldly express ourselves.

Took me years to understand. Death of loved ones, physical and mental health conditions, divorce and broken relationships of all sorts. It’s like the more I was trying to figure out how to fit in, the further I was heading. Then a massive slap from the Universe / God, moving me back to my lane.

I’m still far to figure it out. But the more I look inwards, the closer I get to where I’m supposed to go.

There is something about the way experience feels that can’t be replaced by anything else.

Nobody is coming

You’ve heard that before. No-one is coming to safe you. In fact nobody really can. It would have been nice if they could, but that's not how the game is made.

Life is like a sea - sometimes wavy, sometimes calm; sometimes cold, other times warmer. It can move you forward, but it can be your biggest obstacle too. The thing is that, if we don’t learn how to dance with it, we’re most likely to loose the battle.

There are moments, just like the stubborn child, it’s harder to accept it’s all upon us, that if you want the change, you have to make your own steps.

Are you (dis)connected?

We feel lost when we’re disconnected. From our body, from our essence, from who we really are. Disconnection makes us ill. Mentally, physically, both together.

Disconnection comes from separating ourselves from who we really are, from what we feel is good for us, from what we desire, from the way we express ourselves authentically.

Disconnection from oneself can lead to self harm through substances, all the way down to suicide.

Does this sound scary to you? Have you been there? Have you been afraid to accept, confront and share that you need help? Have you asked for the help? Have you tried to end it all?

Or are you still thinking you can manage the pressure, you can handle the situation, that it’s not too bad as there are worse things in life?

What is worse than the hopeless than one thinking that ending their life is the best or only way out?

You are strong and you can go through all the challenges life throws at you. But you’re also entitled to ask for help and receive it. You’re also supposed to rest, recharge, accept or deny what is good for you and what is not anymore.

You ARE supposed to put yourself first.

Life is too precious to be wasted living outside of your true Self.

You could never guess, so don’t

You can never know how things will turn, twist, switch around in order to get you where you are meant to go. So leave the controlling and enjoy then ride.

You don’t need to know how you’ll get there, you just have to know where you want to go. The how is out of your human reach.

Don’t take it personal and don’t try to manage it. The Universe knows how to get you what you want, you just focus on the final aim.

If we let ourselves enjoy the ride, the flow and all the work the Universe arranges for us, for sure we’ll leave an easier, more aligned stress-less life.
